I wrote this piece for the Das Tripas Coração #2 Project, where I had to create an imaginative new work based on a piece of Portuguese traditional music. Hence, I have selected the melody Fui ao jardim da Celeste as my point of departure.
Written in 2021 as part of my Doctor in Music — Composition at the Royal College of Music, London (EN). With the support of The ACTOR Project (CAN); Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (PT); Royal College of Music (EN); Leões de Portugal (PT) and Foundation for Science and Technology (PT).
