Miniatura à volta de um tema
Premiere
06/07/2020 - (online) UK - Maria Marchant (Piano)
Programme notes
This was one of my first pieces for piano and it’s essentially a micro-composition of a small introduction and variation to a special theme. The idea was to present it like a loop consisting of theme presentation, then defragmentation and expansion then reduction, and back to the normal form. Something more like us, people, we come and go but in the end, we are all the same, humans.
