Programme notes

An entrance piece functions as a threshold — a brief sonic recalibration that prepares visitors for what lies ahead. Music for a Greek Museum draws on my time at the Kotsanas Museum of Ancient Greek Technology, translating encounters with its ingenious mechanisms and resonant spaces into a cohesive sound environment.

Electronic and acoustic elements are interwoven to blur temporal boundaries, allowing ancient technologies, contemporary listening, and speculative futures to coexist. Conceived as a permanent sound installation for the museum entrance, the work offers an immersive prelude in which the exhibitions begin to speak before they are seen.
